Louis F. Draganich/Principal

Draganich Consulting provides consultation, expert witness testimony and trial support in injury biomechanics, accident reconstruction, orthopedic treatment, failure analysis, patent infringement and patent validity.

Dr. Draganich has provided expert witness testimony since 1994 and has been the Director of Orthopaedic Biomechanics at The University of Chicago since 1985. He received his MS and PhD degrees in bioengineering from the University of Illinois in 1979 and 1985. His expertise is in mechanical engineering applied to the musculoskeletal system, including gait analysis, joint mechanics and ligament reconstruction. He has performed research on tripping and falls, sports injuries, upper and lower extremity joint mechanics and total knee replacement design and function. He has taught orthopedic biomechanics to engineering graduate students, medical students and orthopedic residents, fellows and surgeons over the past 20 years. He has lectured to hundreds of orthopedic surgeons from around the world on the biomechanics of total knee replacement design and function.
